Job summary

Astrum Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fire Technician Tester to service a commercial property portfolio across NSW, with the role predominantly Sydney-based.

You will test and inspect fire protection devices in line with AS1851, work in a high-volume environment, and join a growing team supported by on-call roaster and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Cert II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (preferred).
• 2–3 years' experience with another fire protection company.
• Hands-on testing of extinguishers, blankets, hydrants, hose reels, fire panels, sprinkler systems, water pumps, fire doors and emergency lighting per AS1851.
• Strong teamwork and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume environment.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call roster.
• Eligibility to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Full Working Rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Work across a commercial property portfolio in NSW with a Sydney-based focus.
• Test and service fire protection devices in line with AS1851 standards.
• Collaborate with clients and fellow technicians to deliver high-quality servicing.
• Contribute to process improvements and on-call roster coverage.

About the Role

Due to continued growth in NSW, we're looking for a skilled, accomplished, and enthusiastic Fire Technician Tester to work across a commercial property portfolio and help shape how fire system servicing is delivered to our clients. This role is predominantly Sydney-based.

What You'll Need

• Cert II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (preferred)
• 2–3 years' experience with another fire protection company
• Hands-on experience testing the following in line with AS1851:
  • Portable fire extinguishers
  • Fire blankets
  • Hydrants
  • Hose reels
  • Fire panels
  • Sprinkler systems and associated fire pump sets, water tanks
  • Fire doors, emergency and exit lighting systems
• Strong teamwork and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume environment
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotating roster
• Eligibility to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Full Working Rights in Australia
