Job summary

AECOM is seeking a professional Fire Protection Engineer to join our national Building Engineering team in Australia. You will contribute to a range of projects, delivering technical fire protection design services from concept through to construction and commissioning.

You'll design hydrant and hose reel networks, sprinklers, gas suppression, detection and evacuation strategies, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and client requirements. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Fire Protection Engineer.
• Engineering degree with professional registrations or eligibility for RPEQ.
• Knowledge of Fire Suppression Systems: Hydrants, Hose Reels, sprinklers.
• Knowledge of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems and Emergency Warning systems.
• Experience on medium to large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with Hyena, Revizto and Revit is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be actively involved in all phases of fire protection project design and delivery, from concept to construction and commissioning.
• Design and implement fire protection systems and ensure compliance with NCC and Australian Standards.
• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to develop integrated fire protection solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across projects.
