Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty in Sydney CBD is seeking a Production (Application) Support Engineer to join their growing fintech team on a permanent basis.

You will provide application and production support across critical systems, including loan platforms, perform desktop support, and coordinate with external vendors. You will use SQL, Snowflake and Linux to troubleshoot issues and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in application/production support roles
• Strong SQL skills and ability to troubleshoot using SQL
• Snowflake experience desirable
• Linux experience and fundamentals
• Understanding of database concepts (access control, auditing, backups, restores)
• Ability to communicate incident status and business impact clearly to stakeholders
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and raising detailed tickets

Responsibilities

• Provide application and production support across business-critical systems, focused on loan application platforms
• Provide face-to-face desktop support to users and assist with onboarding, asset management and infra tasks
• Provide structured updates to Exec team during incidents
• Investigate incidents by gathering evidence, reviewing data, analyzing logs, reproducing issues and identifying root cause or escalation paths
• Use SQL, Snowflake and Linux fundamentals to support troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Communicate issue status, business impact, next steps and expected resolution times to stakeholders
• Work with external vendors to raise detailed tickets with screenshots and impact information
• Prioritise multiple incidents based on urgency, customer impact and operational risk
