Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty is seeking an Production (Application) Support Engineer to join a growing fintech in Sydney CBD. The role focuses on application and production support for critical loan platforms and related systems.

You will provide desktop support to end users, manage onboarding and asset tasks, and communicate incidents with executives. Strong SQL skills and Linux experience are essential, with Snowflake and API familiarity desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in application support/production support roles.
• Face-to-face technical support for end users and senior stakeholders.
• Strong SQL skills to investigate and resolve issues.
• Snowflake experience is desirable.
• Linux experience and understanding of database concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide application and production support across critical systems, focusing on loan applications.
• Deliver face-to-face desktop support and handle onboarding, asset management, and infrastructure tasks as needed.
• Provide structured incident updates to executives during incidents.
• Investigate incidents by collecting data, reviewing logs, reproducing issues and identifying root cause or escalation paths.
• Use SQL, Snowflake and Linux fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Communicate incident status, impact, next steps and resolution times clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external vendors, raise detailed tickets with evidence and business impact.
• Prioritize incidents based on urgency and business impact.
