Job summary

Meriton Group is seeking experienced Finishing Labourers to join a high-rise residential project at Surfers Paradise. You will work on final finishing tasks, including painting, patching and minor repairs, preparing surfaces for finishing, silicone work and handover preparation.

The role requires practical finish-labouring skills, a White Card and the ability to work with trades and site teams on a busy construction site with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in finishing, maintenance or construction labouring role.
• Practical experience with painting and patching.
• Experience completing defects, touch-ups and general repairs.
• Good understanding of construction sites and site safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• White Card
• Relevant tickets/licences will be highly regarded

Meriton has designed, developed and built over 80,000 award winning apartments and some of the tallest residential towers across the east coast of Australia. We are currently seeking experienced Finishing Labourers to join our team at Surfers Paradise high-rise residential apartments construction project.

We are looking for practical, reliable and hardworking people who have a strong background in painting, patching, repairs and general construction maintenance and take pride in delivering a high-quality finish.

About the Role

As a Finishing Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting with the final stages of construction works, including:

• Painting and touch-up works
• Patching walls, ceilings and other surfaces
• Plasterboard and minor finishing works
• Preparing surfaces for painting and finishing
• Silicone and sealant works
• Cleaning and preparing areas for handover
• Assisting trades and site teams as required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a finishing, maintenance or construction labouring role
• Practical experience with painting and patching
