Job summary

MARS Building is seeking an experienced Finishes Supervisor / Site Supervisor to join our project delivery team on a prominent Class 2 multi-residential development in Coffs Harbour. You will own the finishes phase, coordinating subcontractors and overseeing quality to deliver a high-standard outcome.

Work closely with the Site Team, Project Manager and broader project team to manage programme requirements, monitor compliance with design documentation, and ensure finishing works meet agreed

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as Finishes Supervisor, Foreperson or Senior Leading Hand.
• Experience delivering Class 2 apartment or multi-residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of internal and external finishes and construction sequencing.
• Understanding of quality assurance and defect management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and trade scopes.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising internal and external finishing trades across the project
• Planning, sequencing and coordinating finishing works in line with the construction programme
• Managing subcontractor performance, labour resources, materials and deliveries
• Reviewing declared design drawings, specifications and trade scopes before works commence
• Coordinating design, programme, quality and technical requirements
• Conducting regular inspections and identifying incomplete, defective or non-conforming work
• Driving the prompt rectification and close-out of defects
• Maintaining strong quality assurance records throughout the finishes phase
• Supporting the timely close-out of QA observations, corrective actions and non-conformance reports
• Promoting and enforcing high standards of WHS across all finishing activities
• Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders
• Assisting with inspections, commissioning, handover and final completion
• Providing clear progress updates to the Site Manager and project team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Finishes Supervisor, Foreperson or Senior Leading Hand
• Experience delivering Class 2 apartment or multi-residential projects
• Strong knowledge of internal finishes, external finishes and construction sequencing
• A thorough understanding of quality assurance and defect management
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and trade scopes
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to site supervision
• The ability to build productive relationships with trades, consultants and the project team
• High personal standards for workmanship, presentation and attention to detail
• Confidence using construction management, site safety and defect management software
• A current White Card
• A current Australian driver licence
• Full Australian working rights
