Job summary

In this role, you'll:

Be responsible for operating graders on road construction and maintenance projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality specifications.

The Finishing Grader Operator will also be responsible for:

• Operating graders to undertake levelling, trimming and finishing works.
• Finishing road pavements to tight tolerances and required specifications.
• Supporting road construction and maintenance activities across a range of projects.
• Conducting pre-start inspections and maintaining equipment in a safe operating condition.
• Working collaboratively with crew members to achieve project outcomes.
• Following all workplace safety, environmental and quality requirements.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused operator to join our established construction crew delivering road infrastructure projects across the region. This is a specialist role requiring extensive grader operating experience and the ability to deliver precise finishing work to exacting standards.

Working as part of a close-knit team of 8-10 employees, you'll contribute to a variety of projects across regional NSW while enjoying the benefits of permanent employment, working a 38-hour week, a 9-day fortnight, and opportunities for career growth.

This is a permanent full-time role based at Bega.

You may be required to work outside of normal working hours, and you may also be required to travel throughout the region and work at locations away from home for extended periods.

TfNSW take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously therefore to be eligible for this role it is a requirement that you must reside within 75 kms driving distance from the Bega Depot.

About You

You an experienced Finishing Grader Operator looking for stable, long-term work on major road construction and maintenance projects.

You are experienced in road construction and maintenance, with strong skills in levelling and trimming road surfaces.

You are confident using literacy and numeracy skills to complete work records accurately and communicate effectively with your team.

You are able to trim and finish road pavements to high standards and within precise tolerances.

You hold a current unrestricted Australian C Class Drivers Licence and a current Construction Industry White Card.

You are willing to complete any required legislative or internal training, licences, or tickets as needed.
