Job summary

Transport for NSW in Dubbo, NSW seeks a Finishing Grader Operator for permanent full-time work. You will operate a grader with GPS guidance to ensure precise levels and alignment, contributing to road construction and maintenance projects in the region.

The role requires staying away from home, with a living away from home allowance and paid accommodation/travel time. A 9-day fortnight roster applies and residing within 100 km of Dubbo is required.

Qualifications

In this role, you'll:

Bring experience in road construction and maintenance, particularly operating a Grader using your demonstrated ability to trim and finish road pavements to tight tolerances.

Operate plant machinery to achieve predetermined tolerances, achieving high quality and smooth road output.

Undertake projects across the region that will require working away from home.

You will be paid a living away from home allowance, paid accommodation and paid travel time to and from work sites.

Perform the duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 when not operating the Grader.

Work a 9-day fortnight roster (Every other Monday off)

We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.

You are an experienced Finishing Grader Operator using GPS to assist with levels and alignment.

You will also hold the following:

• White Card
• Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s license
• Experience operating plant machinery
• Traffic Controller Certification – Or willing to obtain
• A Medium/Heavy Rigid truck licence, while not essential, would be advantageous.

We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this roleit is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from the Dubbo depot.
