Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Systems Accountant to bridge Finance and Technology, driving smarter financial systems, improved reporting and streamlined business processes. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with some days at Strathpine and others from home, supporting major technology transformation projects and stakeholder collaboration.

You will develop reports, dashboards and analytical tools, support system upgrades and provide specialist advice on financial systems and data

Qualifications

• Experience working with financial management systems or ERP platforms.
• Accounting knowledge and an understanding of financial reporting principles.
• Experience developing reports, analysing data and providing meaningful business insights.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse organisation.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing development, optimisation and administration of financial systems and reporting platforms.
• Provide specialist advice and support on financial systems, data management and reporting requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancement.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards and analytical tools that support business decision-making.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing, implementations and transformation initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of financial information held within business systems.
• Investigate and resolve system-related issues while identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
• Contribute to organisational projects that improve efficiency, capability and business outcomes.
• Support the delivery of a positive customer experience through effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
