NAB is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal team in Australia. The role provides expert legal advice on financial markets matters and supports NAB Markets in transactions and regulatory issues.

You will draft documentation, manage client communications, and build strong internal partnerships while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing team culture. Applicants should have 3–4 years+ post admission experience and an active Australian Practising Certificate.

Qualifikationen

• 3–4 years+ post admission experience in private, public and/or in‑house practice.
• Experience providing legal advice to a global financial markets business with a strong regulatory focus.
• Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice balancing risk with customer and business outcomes.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative and able to juggle competing demands in a busy environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide subject matter expertise and legal advice on financial markets transactional and regulatory matters.
• Negotiate and draft client transaction documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the NAB Markets business.
