Job summary

NAB in Sydney is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal team to provide expert legal advice on financial markets transactional and regulatory matters. You will negotiate and draft client transaction documentation, build strong relationships with NAB Markets, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture while delivering pragmatic risk-balanced guidance.

The ideal candidate has 3-4 years+ post admission experience and an Australian Practising Certificate, with experience

Qualifications

• 3-4 years+ post admission experience in private, public and/or in-house legal practice.
• Current Australian Practising Certificate.
• Experience with advising a global financial markets business with regulatory focus is highly desirable.
• Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice balancing risk with customer and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and legal advice on financial markets transactional and regulatory matters.
• Negotiate and draft client transaction documentation.
