Job summary

The Salvation Army's Moneycare team in Maroochydore is seeking a Moneycare Financial Counsellor (Problem Gambling) to provide specialist financial counselling, advocacy and case management to people facing financial hardship.

You will work from our Maroochydore site, develop tailored action plans, support clients with gambling-related debt and connect them with broader services, while upholding person-centred, holistic approaches and compliance with funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma of Financial Counselling is required.
• Accredited membership with a state-based Financial Counselling Association.
• Problem Gambling Skillset Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
• Level 4 Diploma of Financial Counselling is required.
• Working towards accreditation with a recognised Financial Counselling Association.
• Current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver financial counselling and case management services.
• Assist clients with gambling-related debt and financial stress.
• Develop tailored action plans promoting financial stability and recovery.
• Advocate with creditors and service providers on behalf of clients.
• Support access to relevant community and support services.
