Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a 12–15 month fixed-term contract in New South Wales. You will lead the finance function, oversee reporting, year-end, audit, treasury, controls and build a high-performing team.

You’ll partner with the CFO to drive financial strategy, governance and transformation across a national footprint, while remaining hands-on and close to the detail.

Qualifications

• Proven Financial Controller experience within a medium-to-large organisation.
• Strong financial reporting, month-end and year-end capability.
• Experience managing external audit and statutory reporting.
• Treasury and cash flow management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within services, contracting, infrastructure, project-based would be advantageous.

A large, privately owned Australian services organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the business on a 12–15 month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of a broad finance remit across financial reporting, year-end, audit, treasury, controls and team leadership, while also having the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and external perspective to a business continuing to grow and evolve.

With approximately $1 billion in annual revenue, a national footprint and a highly stable finance team, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you will remain close to the detail while operating as a senior member of the finance leadership team.
