Michael Page is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant for an initial 6-month temporary role with strong potential to transition to permanent. You will manage month-end close, prepare reports, and support overseas head office and audits in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Competenze

• CA or CPA qualification and multinational experience preferred.
• Hands-on accounting experience with month-end close and reporting.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience; attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Manage month-end close activities, including journals and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management reports, cost centre analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with quarterly reporting for overseas head office and audits.
• Support statutory financial statements and compliance obligations.
• Manage indirect tax reporting including GST, FBT and withholding tax.
• Process bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure internal controls and accounting policies are followed.
• Identify and implement finance process improvements.

Job Description

• Managing month-end close activities, including journals and financial reporting requirements
• Preparing monthly management reports, cost centre analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with quarterly reporting requirements for overseas head office
• Supporting external audits and preparing audit-ready schedules and reconciliations
• Assisting with statutory financial statements and compliance obligations
• Managing indirect tax requirements, including GST, FBT, and withholding tax reporting
• Processing bank reconciliations, direct debits, and intercompany transactions
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, governance frameworks, and accounting policies
• Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives across finance operations

The Successful Applicant

• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience within Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or a similar role preferably within a multinational organisation
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP system experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
