Job summary

APAC Michael Page is seeking a Financial Accountant for a 6-month contract to support financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance across the business, with involvement from international stakeholders.

This hands-on role requires strong technical accounting skills, ERP experience, and the ability to deliver accurate reporting and timely statutory filings. Hybrid work arrangements are available in New South Wales, Australia.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification required
• Experience in Financial/Management Accounting in a multinational environment
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills across the business

Responsibilities

• Managing month-end close activities, including journals and financial reporting requirements
• Preparing monthly management reports, cost centre analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with quarterly reporting for overseas head office
• Supporting external audits and preparing audit-ready schedules
• Assisting with statutory financial statements and compliance obligations
• Managing indirect tax reporting (GST, FBT, withholding tax)
• Processing bank reconciliations, direct debits, and intercompany transactions
• Ensuring internal controls, governance frameworks and accounting policies are followed
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance operations

Description

• Managing month-end close activities, including journals and financial reporting requirements
