Talent Map Group Pty Ltd, based in Geelong, seeks an experienced Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, tax, audit and month-end activities. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Produce monthly financial and management reports.
• Manage FX reporting and accounts receivable; assist payable review.
• Support taxation compliance and audit requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

About the organisation

A Geelong based and established global organisation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the finance executive, this broad position will provide accounting support across financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, accounts receivable, taxation, audit and month-end activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable Accountant who enjoys a varied role, working closely with operational stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing improvement of finance systems and processes.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Maintaining general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts
• Producing monthly financial and management reports
• Completing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining banking activities
• Managing FX reporting of hedged currencies
• Managing accounts receivable, aged debt reporting and collections
• Reviewing accounts payable payment runs
• Assisting with taxation compliance and audit requirements
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives and finance projects
• Providing financial support to operational stakeholders across the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA/CPA qualification, completed or in progress
• Experience in a broad accounting position within a commercial environment
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Sound understanding of financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive and hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
