Somerset Regional Council in Esk, Queensland, seeks a finance professional to lead system uplift work, including testing, development and documentation of accounting processes and dashboards for the ERP project. The role also covers day‑to‑day accounting support and reporting.

Qualifications

• Expertise in accounting principles, legislative interpretation and contemporary financial practice.
• Development of business processes and associated stakeholder management.
• Ability to critically analyse information and processes to identify process improvement opportunities.
• High level interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• System testing, development and documentation of accounting and business procedures.
• Development of financial reports and dashboards for Finance elements of Council’s ERP project.
• Provide day-to-day general accounting support as required.
