Job summary

Ivory Group is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a 5-month full-time contract with a Sydney council in the Eastern Suburbs. The role supports budgeting, financial reporting, fixed asset management and grants administration, with a 35-hour week and up to 2 days WFH.

You will assist budget preparation and monitoring, oversee the fixed asset register, prepare reports and variance analysis, and support GST/FBT and taxation compliance. Strong stakeholder communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, fixed assets and financial reporting
• Local Council or government experience highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Support budget preparation, monitoring and financial analysis
• Oversee fixed asset management and maintain the grants register
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Assist with GST, FBT and taxation compliance
• Support financial systems administration and provide advice to internal stakeholders
