Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Finance Administrator to support the finance function for a NSW government portfolio. The role is based in Parramatta with hybrid arrangements after probation and starts on a six-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension or permanency.

You will validate invoices, support reporting and resolve finance queries, using Excel and AI-enabled tools. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in finance, accounting or finance administration.
• Excel (intermediate to advanced), Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience with account reconciliation, purchase order processes and coding accounts payable invoices.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Clear, friendly communication and a collaborative approach.
• Willingness to learn new digital systems and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Validate invoices against contract requirements using AI-powered and digital tools.
• Help prepare Requests for Funding (RFF).
• Work with the Finance Manager and Accounts team to ensure invoices are processed in Manhattan on time.
• Resolve billing and account queries with suppliers, the client and internal teams.
• Attend vendor meetings to address invoice and debtor matters.
• Review and improve finance processes, including management of open purchase orders.
• Support monthly reporting and internal and external audits.
• Provide backup support across finance functions and general administrative tasks.
