Palladium invites applications for a Finance Officer to support the Australia Awards Global Support Unit in Canberra. You will contribute to financial governance, manage grants disbursement, budget monitoring and reporting, and ensure accurate financial records.

The role works with DFAT stakeholders and partners in a hybrid environment, based in Canberra. A tertiary accounting qualification and experience in financial administration are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
• Experience in financial administrative support of projects and/or organisations.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel to a high level.
• Capability in the use of information systems for efficient program administration with attention to data accuracy.
• Strong client focus and ability to respond quickly to stakeholder needs.
• Cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Support the effective financial management of the Australia Awards Global Support Unit (GSU) in line with DFAT and Palladium requirements.
• Process invoices, reconciliations, cost coding, grants disbursement and payment verification.
• Contribute to budget monitoring, financial reporting and audit activities.
• Provide responsive financial help desk support to DFAT, implementing partners and program stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, business services and IT teams to support integrated service delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and procedures.
