Job summary

Atturra, a fast-growing ASX-listed advisory and IT solutions company, is hiring an Accounts Officer for SME Gateway in Canberra. You’ll manage accounts receivable and payable, process invoices, prepare payment files, and support treasury and month-end tasks.

Working with the Accountant and Finance Business Partner, you will ensure accuracy, maintain internal controls, and liaise with customers to chase overdue invoices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years relevant experience in finance, bookkeeping and/or business management.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised with high integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage SMEG Finance Tracker to record and plan daily transactions.
• Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable invoices per policy.
• Prepare and review AR/AP ageing reports weekly.
• Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure internal controls.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations to monitor cash flow.
• Follow up on overdue invoices with customers.
• Support End of Month tasks and reconciliations.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting duties for the Business Partner.
