You will lead the revenue cycle from billing to cash collection, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding rules. The role requires hands-on aged care billing knowledge, strong reconciliations, and effective collaboration with finance and operations.

Responsabilidades

• Run the full aged care billing cycle with correct rates, agreements and funding rules.
• Analyse funding data to detect errors and unclaimed revenue.
• Oversee funding claims from lodgement to receipt and follow up rejections.
• Resolve billing and payment variances with operations to fix issues.
• Maintain debtors ledger and push older balances to resolution.
• Reconcile debtor accounts and funding receipts with documentation.
• Support month-end receivables reconciliations and reporting.
• Identify recurring issues and implement system/automation improvements.
• Keep billing documentation audit-ready and compliant with funding obligations.
• Mentor the AR team and maintain strong controls.

The Organisation
Our client is an established organisation in the aged care sector, delivering services across a broad client base. They are seeking an experienced Senior AR Officer with strong aged care billing knowledge to take ownership of billing, claims and collections on a 6 month contract with potential to go permanent.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance team, you will own the aged care revenue cycle from billing through to cash collection, protecting revenue and tightening processes along the way.
Responsibilities include:

• Running the full aged care billing cycle, making sure invoices reflect the correct rates, agreements and funding rules
• Analysing service activity and funding data to pick up errors, exceptions and missed revenue before they become problems
• Overseeing funding claims from lodgement to receipt, and following up rejections, short payments and unpaid claims
• Getting to the bottom of tricky billing and payment variances, partnering with operations to fix them
• Keeping on top of the debtors ledger and aged debt, and pushing older balances to resolution
• Reconciling debtor accounts and funding receipts so balances are accurate and well supported
• Contributing to month-end through receivables reconciliations, debtor reporting and billing adjustments
• Spotting patterns in recurring issues and putting fixes in place, including system and automation improvements
• Keeping billing documentation audit-ready and compliant with funding obligations
• Mentoring the wider AR team and helping maintain strong controls

About You

• Hands-on aged care billing and receivables background, with a solid grasp of how aged care funding works
• Well-rounded AR experience covering invoicing, claims, reconciliations and collections
• Clear communicator who builds good working relationships with finance and operations
• Qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or Business (Cert IV or Diploma) desirable
