Job summary

Jet Group seeks a Finance Officer to join our Mackay team on a full-time basis, with a part-time option around 32 hours per week for the right applicant. The role encompasses weekly payroll, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and month-end reporting, with flexibility to support other areas of the business.

Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications, strong Excel/MS Office skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a small team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll including timesheets and statutory compliance
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare debtors, WIP and labour hours reports
• Provide support for end-of-month financial reporting
• Support other areas of the business as required

About the role

We are seeking a FINANCE OFFICER to join our crew for an immediate start. This is a full-time position but part-time of at least 32 hours per week would be considered for the right applicant.

Key responsibilities

• Weekly Payroll - processing timesheets, PayDay Super, PAYG Withholding, Award interpretation, processing leave, statutory compliance (includes payroll tax, Coal LSL)
• Accounts Receivable - invoicing, remittance allocations, statements, overdue account follow up
• Bank Reconciliations
• Reporting - Debtors, Work In Progress, Labour Hours
• Provide finance support for end of month financial reporting as required
• Provide support for other areas of the business as required

• Relevant qualifications and experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required
• High-level skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Highly motivated and ability to contribute to and work within a small team environment
