Job summary

MIGSO-PCUBED in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Finance Officer to support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, expenses and month-end close.

You will ensure financial activities are accurate, timely and compliant while delivering reliable reporting to inform decision-making. You will post journals, reconcile balance sheets and assist with statutory reporting, working with internal stakeholders on project budgets and group reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years local accounting experience.
• Strong grounding in month end processes and general ledger accounting.
• Exposure to Australian compliance (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax, FBT, BAS lodgements).
• Experience with Xero Software
• Reliable and able to work independently, manage workloads to deadlines.

The Role

A hands-on Finance Officer who will play a key role in supporting the business across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, expenses and month-end close. The role ensures financial activities are accurate, timely and compliant, while delivering clear, reliable reporting to support informed decision-making. This role will also assist in preparing and posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to delivery project budgets and group reporting requirements.

This versatile opportunity suits a technically strong, detail-oriented and proactive candidate who enjoys variety, takes ownership and can work across strategic and operational finance tasks in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Bring (Essential Experience)

• 3 – 5+ years’ local accounting experience.
• Strong grounding in month end processes and general ledger accounting.
• Exposure to Australian compliance (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax, FBT, BAS lodgements).
• Experience with Xero Software
• Reliable and able to work independently problems autonomously. Able to use time efficiently and manage workload to deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to group reporting requirements for an overseas publicly listed parent, including strict close calendars and intercompany processes
• Experience with AP automation tools, and project/time systems (strong advantage).
• Experience in small to midsize organisations or professional services viewed positively
• Solutions focused mentality, proactively identifies issues, proposes practical fixes, and looks for ways to continuously improve processes
