Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to support the financial management of a major project based in Western Sydney. You will partner with project leadership to deliver financial oversight, reporting and commercial insights to drive project performance.

Ideal candidates will bring proven experience with large-scale construction or engineering projects, including forecasting, cost control, cash flow and working with operational teams to optimize commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager or Senior Project Accountant in construction/infrastructure.
• Proven track record supporting large-scale projects with significant budgets.
• Strong forecasting, cost control, cash flow and margin analysis.
• Experience partnering with Project Directors and operational teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and commercial support across a major project.
• Lead project financial reporting, month-end and management accounts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections.
• Monitor costs, margins, WIP and performance against budget.
• Provide commercial analysis to support delivery and profitability.
• Oversee AP/AR and project-related financial processes.
• Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to improve financial visibility.
• Support broader business reporting and strategic decisions.
