Job summary

Early Connections Manning and Great Lakes is seeking a Finance Operations Lead to join our leadership and administration team on a part-time basis. The role combines strong financial management with stakeholder engagement to support outcomes for children and families.

Working with the Manager and management committee, you will oversee monthly reporting, budgeting, cashflow, payroll oversight and compliance, while advancing continuous improvement in a not-for-profit setting that values inclusion

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce requirements.
• CPA/CA accreditation is highly regarded or in progress.
• Experience in accounting, finance or business management.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and practically.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
• Collaborative and positive approach.
• Interest in the disability, community services or not-for-profit sector.
• Genuine commitment to inclusion and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial management activities.

We Are Seeking a Vibrant Finance Professional to Join Our Team

Early Connections - Manning and Great Lakes is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Finance Ops Lead to join our leadership and administration team.

This role is perfect for someone with a degree accounting/finance qualification who enjoys combining strong financial skills with relationship building, problem solving and organisational improvement. We are looking for someone who can see beyond the numbers and wants to contribute to a mission-driven organisation supporting children with disability, developmental delay and their families.

Working closely with the Manager, leadership team and management committee, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability and ongoing growth of our organisation.

The Role

Part Time Position (3 days per week/ 5 day fortnight):

The Finance Operations Lead will:

• Lead day-to-day financial management activities.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.

• CPA/CA qualification or working towards certification highly regarded.

• Demonstrated experience in accounting, finance or business management.

• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• The ability to communicate financial information in a practical and understandable way.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems experience.

• A collaborative and positive approach.

• An interest in the disability, community services or not-for-profit sector.

• A genuine commitment to the values of inclusion, participation and community impact.
