Finance Manager | Clear Pathway to Financial Controller | Gold Coast
Aged Care Decisions is looking for a CA/CPA-qualified Finance Manager to take ownership of financial control, FP&A and business intelligence as we continue to grow. This is not a back-office or transactional accounting role — we need someone with strong operational finance capability who can lead people, fix process, and drive improvement, particularly within our credit and collections function, which is a genuine priority area for us right now.
You'll lead a small team, drive the reporting and analysis that shapes executive decision-making, and get involved in the technology, automation and process-improvement work that's reshaping how our Finance function operates — including a growing focus on how AI can be applied to finance and business processes.
Based onsite at our Southport office, you'll report to the General Manager, Finance and take ownership of:
Financial control, compliance and management reporting
Leading our AR Collections Manager and their Quality Assurance team, with a strong focus on lifting credit and collections performance
Business intelligence and FP&A — budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and executive/Board reporting
Driving operational improvement and innovative solutioning across finance processes — this is a genuine priority, not a side responsibility
Driving technology and automation initiatives across our platforms (Xero, HubSpot, Paidnice, Tanda, Microsoft 365 and our provider portal)
Leading cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Contributing to how we adopt and apply AI across finance and operations
CA or CPA qualified — this is essential, not preferred
Strong operational finance capability — someone who leads, fixes and improves, not just reports
Strong FP&A background — budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and business partnering
Experience leading a team, ideally with exposure to credit, collections or receivables
A track record of leading projects to completion, working with stakeholders outside your own team
A strong analytical mindset and genuine comfort working with data — we care more about how quickly you can learn a new tool than what you've already used
Naturally curious about technology and AI, and how they can improve the way a finance function operates
Comfortable operating across commercial and governance matters, not just traditional accounting
A clearly defined pathway to Financial Controller as the business grows
Genuine breadth — financial control, FP&A, BI, technology and people leadership in one role
Direct exposure to executive decision-making and Board-level reporting
An in-office role based in Southport, Gold Coast, with affordable parking nearby
