Job summary

Humero is recruiting on behalf of a well established not-for-profit organisation in Brisbane. The Financial Leader will own the finance function, balancing leadership with hands-on delivery across budgeting, reporting and governance.

Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with General Managers and boards to drive enterprise performance, pricing reviews and cost drivers across multiple entities, with potential pathway to CFO/COO for the right person.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Experience leading finance in a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Strong grounding in reporting, governance, compliance and cash management.
• Commercially curious – interested in the business behind the numbers.
• Experience collaborating with diverse, engaged stakeholders.
• Track record of driving systems, processes or organisational improvement.
• Experience in aged care, NDIS, childcare, education or broader NFP sector is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial performance across multiple entities.
• Own month-end close, statutory reporting, audit and financial governance.
• Partner with General Managers to understand commercial drivers behind each business unit.
• Review pricing, funding models and cost drivers, including aged care and NDIS programs.
• Lead and develop a finance team through change.
• Drive systems and process improvement across the finance function.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, Boards and senior leadership.

With a diverse portfolio spanning aged care, disability services, childcare, education, hospitality, property and community programs, this is a complex, multi-entity operation going through a period of renewal and growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with business unit General Managers and board committee members, you\'ll take ownership of financial leadership across the organisation. You will be prepared and comfortable balancing a leadership role while being hands-on, with real scope to grow the role well beyond a traditional finance remit over time.

The immediate focus is hands-on by nature, building strong financial foundations. From there, this role is designed to expand into broader enterprise performance, commercial strategy and operational leadership, potentially opening a pathway toward CFO or COO responsibilities for the right person.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial performance across multiple entities
