Job summary

Jetstar seeks a Data Analyst – Finance Operations to accelerate AI adoption, automation and data-driven decision-making across Finance and Operations. You will build self-service analytics, data pipelines and governance to enable faster insights for leaders and teams.

The role requires hands-on experience delivering data solutions, strong Power BI skills and familiarity with ERP/financial systems. A collaborative, results-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Systems or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in data analytics, business intelligence or finance transformation roles
• Experience working in Finance, Finance Transformation, Finance Operations business improvement or a similar environment, with a strong understanding of Finance processes and business needs (essential)
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building solutions, rather than solely analysing or reporting on data
• Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent BI tooling (essential)
• Hands on experience with AI tools (Co-Pilot preferred) and automation platforms (Microsoft Fabric suite of products) is desirable
• Familiarity with ERP and financial systems – Oracle, TM1 (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Drive AI, automation and process improvement initiatives across Finance Operations.
• Build and maintain low-code/no-code solutions using Power Platform.
• Develop data pipelines and models for self-service reporting and analytics.
• Identify manual, repetitive and inefficient processes and design practical solutions that improve efficiency, control and data quality.
• Explore and apply AI and Copilot capabilities to solve real business problems, including opportunities for intelligent automation and AI agents where appropriate.
• Improve the way Finance data is captured, governed and used, helping create reliable and reusable data foundations for reporting and automation.
• Support transformation from idea through to implementation, including prototyping, testing, documentation, training and user adoption.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI, analytics and automation tools
• Support user adoption through training, documentation and stakeholder engagement
