Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Sydney head office, linking head office finance with the Clients & Markets team to shape the numbers behind how we pursue, price and win work in Australia.

You’ll partner with senior leaders, provide financial insight, forecasts and budgets, and translate data into clear advice for non-finance stakeholders while supporting bids and pipeline management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics or related numerical discipline; CA or CPA preferred but not essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in a financial or commercial role with strong analytical capability and business partnering.
• Strong numerical and modelling skills with good attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, able to influence non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clients & Markets leaders, providing advice and challenge.
• Prepare and analyse monthly forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
• Track performance against budget, flagging risks and opportunities early.
• Deliver financial insight to support bids, pipeline and work winning.

• Sharpen reporting, forecasting and budgeting using better data and tools.

About you
