Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our finance team in the Sydney head office. You will report to the Head of Finance Services & Treasury and gain broad treasury experience while contributing to a globally recognised engineering enterprise.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or a related numerical discipline.
• CA or CPA preferred but not essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow forecasting, daily funding and bank administration.
• Support ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
• Drive process improvement and documentation across treasury activities.
• Assist with risk exposure management.
• Assist with routine and ad hoc treasury reporting.
• Manage issuance and administration of bonds and guarantees.
• Monitor bank accounts and balances and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Treasurer on Treasury function development.

Key responsibilities

• Managing cash flow forecasting, daily funding and bank administration
• Supporting ad hoc projects and financial analysis
• Driving process improvement and process documentation across key Treasury activities
• Assisting with the management of risk exposures
• Assisting with the preparation of routine and ad hoc treasury reporting
• Managing the ongoing issuance and administration of surety bonding and guarantees
• Monitoring and maintaining bank accounts and balances, resolving any outstanding banking issues
• Working with the Treasurer on the continual development of our Treasury function

About you

• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or a related numerical discipline; CA or CPA preferred but not essential
• 5+ years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving capability
• Demonstrated experience across treasury disciplines such as cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, transactional banking, treasury management systems and treasury operational controls
• Strong numerical and modelling skills with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders
• Able to manage and deliver multiple assignments of varying priority and difficulty, working effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
