Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Sydney seeks a Finance Business Partner to join our head office finance team, supporting the Clients & Markets division. You’ll link head office finance with bidding, pricing and win strategies across Australia, providing advice and insights to drive decision making.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics or related numerical field.
• CA or CPA preferred but not essential.
• 5+ years in a financial or commercial role with strong partnering experience.
• Strong analytical and modelling capability with attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clients & Markets leaders, providing advice and challenge.
• Prepare and analyse monthly forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
• Track performance against budget, flagging risks and opportunities early.
• Deliver financial insight that supports bids, pipeline and work winning.
• Translate financial data into clear advice for non-finance stakeholders.
• Sharpen reporting, forecasting and budgeting using better data and tools.
