Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our Sydney head office, reporting to the Head of Finance Services & Treasury. This role offers broad treasury exposure and a path to leadership in a privately owned, international engineering enterprise.

You will oversee cash flow forecasting, daily funding, bank administration, and treasury reporting while supporting ad hoc projects and process improvements. You’ll work with senior stakeholders to manage risk and enhance controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving capability.
• Demonstrated experience across treasury disciplines such as cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, transactional banking, treasury management systems and treasury operational controls.
• Strong numerical and modelling skills with good attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders.
• Able to manage and deliver multiple assignments of varying priority and difficulty, working effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics or a related numerical discipline; CA or CPA preferred but not essential
• 5+ years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving capability
• Demonstrated experience across treasury disciplines such as cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, transactional banking, treasury management systems and treasury operational controls
• Strong numerical and modelling skills with good attention to detail
