Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Sydney head office, supporting the Clients & Markets division. You’ll be the link between head office finance and Clients & Markets, shaping the numbers behind how we pursue, price and win work across Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Services & Treasury, you’ll provide advice, challenge and advocacy on financial matters across bids, pipeline and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, economics or numerical discipline.
• CA or CPA preferred but not essential.
• 5+ years’ experience in a financial or commercial role.
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities.
• Ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clients & Markets leaders, providing advice and challenge.
• Prepare and analyse monthly forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
• Track performance against budget, flagging risks and opportunities early.
• Deliver financial insight that supports bids, pipeline and work winning.
• Translate financial data into clear advice for non-finance stakeholders.
• Sharpen reporting, forecasting and budgeting using better data and tools.
