Job summary

ISS Facility Services is seeking a Head Chef for a FIFO role at a remote mining site in Western Australia. The position is full-time with an 8:6 roster, responsible for delivering breakfast, crib and dinner while upholding ISS’s standards of safety and excellence.

Applicants must have head chef experience in high-volume catering and hold a valid Australian Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher. Meals, accommodation and uniforms are provided, with ongoing training and health programs.

The Opportunity:

We're hiring FIFO (Fly In / Fly Out) Head Chefs from Perth and nearby suburbs on a 8:6 roster for Fulltime Employment.

Working closely with the Hospitality Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Crib, and Dinner—while proudly upholding ISS’s reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.

• Competitive Annual Wage – $110,000 - $120,000 + Super

To be considered:

• Experience as a Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (essential).
• Must have Australian Trade Qualification of Commercial Cookery Certificate 3 or higher
• Proven experience as a chef in high-volume catering, including bulk meals and banquet or function service.
• Experience in mining village operations (Desirable)
• Must have with a strong ability to meet client expectations for food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to food safety and HACCP standards.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia
• Must have a valid police check issued within the last 12 months or be willing to obtain one.
• Must pass a Pre-employment Medical Test, Functional Assessment and Drug and Alcohol Screen.
• Driver's License/ Photo ID required
• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to ensure smooth operations.
