Job summary

ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced Minesite Village Services Team Leader to manage daily operations of utility services at our Mining Village in South Australia. FIFO 14:14 from Adelaide Airport.

You will lead housekeeping and catering utility teams, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and customer comfort across accommodation, mine-site operations, tavern, diner and admin areas.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and safety-focused leadership are essential.
• Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is required.
• Proven leadership with decision-making capabilities.
• FIFO mine-site cleaning experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site staff to maintain a safe working environment.

Job description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Minesite Village Services Team Leader to manage day to day operations of our utility services functions at our Mining Village in South Australia.

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will use your customer service mindset and dedication to quality service standards to contribute to a positive client experience, and lead our friendly, inclusive team culture. Working on a FIFO 14:14 roster from Adelaide Airport.

About the Role:

The Village Services Team Leaders are responsible for leading the housekeeping teams and catering utility teams in cleaning of customer accommodation, mine site operations, outdoor and public service areas, tavern, diner and administration areas ensuring that standards of cleanliness and customer comfort are maintained. This includes ensuring all Occupational Health and Safety, Hygiene, Environmental and Quality Standards are met by staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate site staff in maintaining a safe working environment
• oversee efficient running and maintenance of the utility functions
• respond to customer complaints
• model high standards of performance and behaviour
• implement and review service standards
• create a team that works together with trust and accountability
• assist in management of department budget
• ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment, considering cost effectiveness

About you:

• Excellent communication, with a customer service mindset
• Strong focus on safety and positive leadership of people
• Solid experience across housekeeping or hospitality
• Motivated, self-starter
• Proven leadership skills with strong decision making capability
• Desirable: previous experience in FIFO mine site cleaning

Additional Requirements:

• Current RSA certification
• Unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
• Police clearance less than 12 months old
• Ability to work a FIFO 14:14 roster from Adelaide Airport
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks
