Job summary

ISS Integrated Serv P/L in Central Queensland is seeking an experienced Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen operations in mining villages. The role operates on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, flying in and out of Townsville, reporting to the Head Chef/Village Manager.

You will prepare high-quality meals, support food safety and WHS standards, assist with stock and kitchen operations, and mentor junior staff. FIFO experience is desirable and full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Proven professional work experience as a chef (2–3+ years).
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery recognised in Australia.
• Food safety, HACCP knowledge and WHS compliance.
• Willingness to obtain a Police clearance and medical checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals consistently and efficiently.
• Support the kitchen team to maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards.
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements.
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
