STERIS, a global leader in infection prevention, is seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to service hospital equipment across sites in NSW. You will perform maintenance, assist with installations, diagnose faults, and support customers on-site with professional service.

The role requires an electrical license, practical troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel to rural areas. On-call and site-based shifts are part of the schedule, with ongoing training and development provided.

Qualifications

• NSW A Grade Electrical License or NSW Restricted Electrical License.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fault diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled maintenance on sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and related equipment.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance.
• Respond to emergency service calls on a rotating roster.
• Manage spare parts stock and inventory accuracy.
• Provide top-tier customer service and technical support.

What You Will Do

• Performing scheduled maintenance on sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and various hospital infection control equipment.
• Assisting with installation and commissioning of new systems.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective maintenance.
• Responding to emergency service calls (rotating on-call roster).
• Managing spare parts trunk stock and maintaining accurate inventory.
• Providing top-tier customer service and technical support.

The Experience, Skills And Abilities Needed

• NSW A Grade Electrical License or current NSW Restricted Electrical License.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fault diagnosis and repair.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to undergo Police Check, and Working with Children Check as part of the employment process.
• Willingness to travel to rural areas when required.
• Desire to branch out and learn new skills, including pneumatics and steam systems.
