Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Field Service Technician to support commissioning, service, and lifecycle performance of advanced power electronics systems.

You will lead on-site activities across industrial, energy and marine environments, travel 90%+ domestically and internationally, and provide expert technical guidance to customers and site personnel. The role requires hands-on electrical skills and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Electrician or degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Solid understanding of power electronics and electrical power systems.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (data recorders, analysers, oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting of SFCs, VFDs and power systems.
• Provide on-site guidance and supervision to customers during installations.
• Maintain site documentation including safety reports and commissioning records.
• Deliver timely status reports on safety, status, and equipment issues.
• Interface with customers, contractors and management in a professional manner.
