Job summary

Optimal Group is looking for an A-Grade Electrician to join our field service team, servicing, fault-finding, repairing and commissioning Capstone microturbines and related electrical and mechanical equipment at customer sites and remotely. Travel is a core part of the role with regional Victorian, interstate and international site work, including overnight stays.

You will use schematics and testing tools, maintain safety on site, and provide accurate electronic service reports while developing

Qualifications

• A current A-Grade electrical license and willingness to travel
• Practical electrical fault-finding and testing experience, including reading schematics and control wiring diagrams
• Mechanical aptitude and safe working habits with customer focus
• Full driver license, right to work in Australia and travel-ready passport
• Willingness to obtain OEM certification and a Type B Gas License (or eligibility)
• Experience with inverters, controls, BESS, PLCs or power generation is valuable
• Fully maintained company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, uniform and required tooling provided
• Structured product and OEM training with opportunities to develop skills in BESS and power-conversion equipment
• Additional allowances for on-call participation, travel and working away from home
• Friday finish time of 2:00 pm when base hours apply

Responsibilities

• Use schematics, electrical testing and software tools to diagnose faults on site and remotely
• Work safely at customer sites, keep customers informed and complete accurate electronic service reports
