Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician based in Wetherill Park to service hydraulic systems across multiple sectors. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment on customer sites and in the workshop.

Role requires trade qualification, field service experience, and strong reporting skills, with flexibility for overtime and weekend call-outs. Full driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification relevant to hydraulics.
• Experience with hydraulic field service or heavy industry.
• Able to diagnose faults and perform repairs independently.
• Strong communication and ability to report clearly.
• Willing to work overtime and weekend rosters when required.
• Valid driver’s license and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Determine corrective actions to return machines to operation.
• Installations and commissioning of hydraulic systems and components.
• Provide preventative maintenance on existing hydraulic equipment.
• Workshop-based work including cylinder rebuilds and pump/motor repairs.
• Prepare clear service reports after field work.
• Work safely and in compliance with WHS procedures.

About The Opportunity

BASE RATE OF $45 - $58 PER HOUR BASED ON EXPERIENCE!

Berendsen Fluid Power is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team based in Wetherill Park.

In this role you will work across a range of industrial sectors providing field service support, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems used in both fixed plant and mobile equipment.

No two days are the same. You will work across both customer sites and our workshop, supporting customers with breakdown response, system troubleshooting and component repairs.

Your Role

• Attend customer sites to conduct diagnosis and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and equipment.


• Determine required corrective action to return machines to operational condition.


• Undertake installations and commissioning of hydraulic systems and components.


• Provide preventative maintenance services on existing hydraulic equipment.


• Complete workshop-based work including hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing.


• Prepare clear and accurate service reports following field service activities.


• Perform all work safely and in compliance with company WHS procedures and policies.

About You

• Relevant trade qualification.


• Experience working with hydraulic systems in field service or heavy industry environments.


• Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently.


• Strong communication skills and ability to complete clear service reports.


• Flexibility to participate in overtime and weekend call-out rosters when required.


• Current driver’s licence and a strong safety-first mindset.
