Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power Pty Ltd is seeking a trade-qualified hydraulic technician to service and diagnose hydraulic systems across workshop and field sites in Australia’s eastern states. You will perform cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs, and conduct on-site commissioning and maintenance.

You will join a national network of hydraulic specialists, with a strong safety culture and opportunities for career development within a leading hydraulic services business.

Qualifications

• This role requires relevant trade qualifications (Diesel, Auto, Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter).
• Flexibility to work overtime and on weekend call-out rosters when required.
• Valid Driver's Licence and a strong safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform workshop work including cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing.
• Attend sites for initial diagnosis and assessment of hydraulic systems.
• Determine corrective actions to return machines to operation, including repairs or replacements.
• Undertake site installations and commissioning of new systems.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance on existing hydraulic equipment.
• Work safely and comply with WHS procedures.

This role will see you working across a broad range of industrial sectors, providing breakdown and diagnostics support on hydraulic systems and equipment used in fixed plant and mobile equipment.

Your Role

• Perform allocated work within the workshop, which will include cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing.
• Attend site and conduct initial diagnosis and assessment.
• Determine what action is required to get the machine operational and initiate the corrective action, which may involve repair or replacement.
• Undertake site installations and commissioning of new systems.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance services on existing hydraulic equipment.
• Perform work safely and comply with WHS procedures.

No two days are the same. You will work across both customer sites and our workshop, supporting customers with breakdown response, system troubleshooting and component repairs.
