Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power Pty Ltd in Wetherill Park seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic systems across customer sites and our workshop.

You will perform installations, preventative maintenance, and generate clear service reports with a strong safety focus, including overtime call-outs when required.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification.
• Experience with hydraulic systems in field service or heavy industry.
• Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to complete clear service reports.
• Flexibility for overtime and weekend call-outs when required.
• Current driver’s licence and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Determine corrective actions to return machines to operation.
• Installations and commissioning of hydraulic systems and components.
• Provide preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment.
• Complete workshop-based hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs.
• Prepare clear service reports after fieldwork.
• Work safely in line with WHS procedures and policies.

About the Opportunity

BASE RATE OF $45 - $58 PER HOUR BASED ON EXPERIENCE!

Berendsen Fluid Power is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team based in Wetherill Park.

In this role you will work across a range of industrial sectors providing field service support, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems used in both fixed plant and mobile equipment.

No two days are the same. You will work across both customer sites and our workshop, supporting customers with breakdown response, system troubleshooting and component repairs.

Your Role

• Attend customer sites to conduct diagnosis and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Determine required corrective action to return machines to operational condition.
• Undertake installations and commissioning of hydraulic systems and components.
• Provide preventative maintenance services on existing hydraulic equipment.
• Complete workshop-based work including hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing.
• Prepare clear and accurate service reports following field service activities.
• Perform all work safely and in compliance with company WHS procedures and policies.
