Job summary

RaptorTech is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and support high-tech GPS machine control systems on excavators and construction equipment across NSW. This hands-on role is based in Sydney with occasional travel to client sites and is ideal for Auto Electricians, Diesel Mechanics or technicians with GPS experience.

You will install, calibrate, diagnose and repair systems, train customers, and provide pre- and post-installation reporting while working closely with civil contractors

Our technology enables construction machines to operate with millimetre accuracy, helping contractors work faster, safer and more efficiently on civil and infrastructure projects.

Due to continued growth across NSW, we are looking for aField Service Technicianto join our team installing and supporting advanced machine control technology.

This role suitsAuto Electricians, Diesel Mechanics or technically minded technicianswho enjoy solving problems and working in the field rather than being stuck in a workshop.

The Role

This is a hands-on field role installing and supportinghigh-tech GPS machine control systemson excavators and construction equipment across NSW.

You will work directly with civil contractors and machine operators, helping them deploy and use technology that significantly improves how machines perform on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of machine control systems on excavators and heavy equipment

About You

We are looking for someone practical, reliable and technically minded who enjoys working independently and solving problems.

Ideal backgrounds include:

• Auto Electrician
• Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Light Vehicle Mechanic with strong electrical skills
• Agricultural or construction equipment technician
• Field technician with electronics or GPS experience

You will also have:

• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
• Basic computer skills for reporting and configuration
• A professional and proactive attitude

Experience withmachine control or GPS technology is highly regarded but not essential.
