Qualifications

• A relevant mechanical trade qualification or demonstrated experience in a similar service role.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily jobs and contribute to a team.
• A reliable, practical approach with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a professional manner with customers.
• Air compressor, pneumatic or related industrial equipment experience is highly regarded.
• A current forklift licence is an advantage but is not essential.
• A current driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• A current Construction White Card.
• Ability to obtain a Blue Card.
• Willingness to travel throughout Gympie, the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.
• Ability to safely carry out the physical requirements of field service work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on air compressors, industrial vacuum pumps and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot equipment performance issues.
• Assist with equipment installations, commissioning and compressed air system maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and communicate clearly with customers about faults, repairs and maintenance requirements.
• Complete accurate service reports, job records and parts requirements.
• Follow safe work procedures and customer site requirements.
