Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced industrial automation technician to join our Adelaide team as a Field Service Technician. This field-based role includes a company vehicle, tools, uniform, laptop and mobile provided.

You’ll deliver high-quality electrical and mechanical support, perform maintenance, repairs and installations for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region, and share on-call duties with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting equipment faults.
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery.
• South Australian electrical licence or Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter.
• PLC experience with Siemens S7 and SCADA WINCC.
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment.
• Experience in CMMS.
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be results driven.
• Strong WHS understanding and safe work practices.
• Current driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on role delivering high-quality electrical and mechanical support.
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region.
• Participation in the on-call roster and overtime including some weekends.
• Flexible to work day shifts as part of the roster.
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) with Mobile Automation team.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced industrial automation technician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Adelaide.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

• Hands on role delivering high quality electrical and mechanical support
• Contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Adelaide region
• Participation in the on-call roster and flexibility to work overtime including some weekends
• Flexible to work day shifts as part of the work roster.
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in conjunction with our Mobile Automation team

Tasks and Qualifications:

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults
• Strong customer focus and quality service delivery
• South Australian electrical licence or Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (restricted electrical licence advantageous)
• PLC experience in Siemens S7 and Scada WIN CC is ideal
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience in hydraulic systems an advantage

• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Current driver’s license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
