Job summary

Brooks Hire, a well-respected family-owned business with over 45 years of operation, seeks a Field Service Mechanic for our Withcott, QLD branch. You will diagnose, repair and service earthmoving equipment in the field and on site, with workshop support as needed, and liaise with clients to ensure uptime.

Must have own tools, be able to pass a medical including a drug & alcohol test, and be comfortable working autonomously within a supportive, equal-opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of earth moving equipment and machines.
• Able to diagnose, repair and service equipment in field/on site.
• Must supply your own tools and be prepared for workshop support when required.
• Forklift / high risk licenses are desirable.
• Capable of working autonomously and following safety protocols.
• Must pass medical including drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs and servicing of equipment in the field and on site.
• Assist in workshop when not on site.
• Assist with mobilisation/demobilisation of machines.
• Assist with equipment dispatch and receivables.
• Comply with Environment and OHS standards.
• Liaise with clients.

Weare now seeking to employ a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Mechanic to work at our Withcott, QLD branch.

Responsibilities/duties will include:

• Use and apply knowledge and training to perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and service of equipment in the field and on site.
• Assist in workshop when not on site.
• Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation of machines.
• Assist with equipment dispatch and receivables.
• Comply with Environment and OS&H Standards.
• Liaise with clients.

Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of earth moving equipment.
• Be competent in performing Diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on machines.
• Must have own tools.
• Forklift / High risk work licenses desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Be able to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test.
