Job summary

Brooks Hire Mackay is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our family-owned, national business. You’ll work across a diverse fleet of earthmoving, civil and plant equipment, carrying out repairs and routine servicing to keep operations moving.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanical or Light Vehicle Mechanical
• Competent in performing routine maintenance and services on plant machines
• Diagnose and test parts and components
• Undertake repairs and services on vehicles (light, medium, heavy), Civil & Earthmoving equipment and small plant
• Driver's License, HR preferred
• Komatsu and Cat experience desirable
• Forklift / High risk work licenses desirable
• Hands on approach
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test

• Component removal, replacement and rebuilds

Responsibilities/duties will include:

Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs and servicing

Preventative maintenance and routine servicing of equipment

Diagnosing, testing and repairing mechanical components

Component removal, replacement and rebuilds

Carrying out major mechanical repairs and overhauls

Requirements:

Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanical or Light Vehicle Mechanical
