Job summary

Sandvik Rock Processing Australia is seeking a seasoned Service Manager trainee to lead and mentor a field team across client sites and company facilities. You will ensure adherence to the Health & Safety Management Plan, drive high service standards, and coordinate with Supervisors to meet client scopes and budgets.

The role emphasizes coaching, staff development, and continuous improvement while maintaining OEM specifications and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Experience in customer relationship management.
• Leadership experience in Resources and/or Bulk Materials Handling.
• Demonstrated commitment to behavioural safety and associated systems and processes.
• Familiar with Safe Work Procedures (SWP) as it relates to the mining industry.
• Proven ability to understand, interpret and explain technical manuals and drawings.
• Sound mechanical aptitude (fasteners/fixing systems, Hytorc usage, basic mechanical failure investigation).
• Schedule 26 compliance certification or willingness to attain.

Responsibilities

• Staff and structure department to meet area budget targets and customer needs.
• Lead and support a team of Technicians and Supervisors through cascaded coaching.
• Promote a customer-focused culture and teamwork across staff.
• Oversee maintenance shutdown planning with Supervisors and Coordinator.
• Oversee emergency breakdown services to complete work timely.
• Support service team with installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of Sandvik SRP equipment.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies and productivity.
• Ensure timely delivery of service reports and contract documentation.
