Job summary

Sandvik Rock Processing Australia is seeking a Service Manager – Screening Media to lead and mentor a team of Technicians and Supervisors across client sites and company facilities. The role emphasizes safety, OEM compliance, and strong customer relationships, with a focus on site leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Front Line Management is preferable but not essential.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Experience in customer relationship management.
• Previous leadership experience in the Resources and/or Bulk Materials Handling industry.
• Demonstrated commitment to behavioural safety and associated systems and processes.
• Familiar with Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s) as it relates to the mining industry.
• Proven ability to understand, interpret and explain technical manuals and drawings.
• Sound mechanical aptitude (fasteners/fixing systems, Hytorc usage, basic mechanical failure investigation etc.)
• Resource Planning essential.
• Schedule 26 compliance certification or willingness to attain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Service Team on client sites and at facilities to meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure staffing aligns with budget targets and customer needs.
• Coach and mentor Technicians and Supervisors to uphold OEM specs and procedures.
• Promote a strong customer-focused culture and strong teamwork.
• Oversee maintenance shutdown planning with Supervisors to coordinate activities.
• Manage emergency breakdown services ensuring timely completion per company policies.
• Support installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and process improvement of Sandvik SRP equipment at customer sites.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiencies and productivity.
• Ensure timely provision of service reports and required documentation.
